Rube Goldberg Competition

Mineola Rube Goldberg Team thumbnail256977

#MineolaProud of our incredible MMS learners who showed of their their inimitable ingenuity, creativity and a little craziness in the 2024 Rube Goldberg Machine Contest!

The goal of this year's competition was to put toothpaste on a toothbrush and our teams came up with some wild and wacky ways to achieve their goal.

We were honored to have Ms. Jennifer George, Chief Creative Officer of the Rube Goldberg Institute and granddaughter of the legendary Rube Goldberg, at the competition to view our contraptions. She is true Rube Goldberg royalty!

A Rube Goldberg Machine is made from found or discarded household items. RGMs come from landfill, rather than contributing to them, thru it's the only STEM competition in the world that requires zero cost to build and participate. Anyone, anywhere, with nothing more than a pile of junk and a great imagination can build an award-winning Rube Goldberg Machine.
