Mineola HS learners showed three sold-out audiences a monstrously good time as they staged a hilarious and heartwarming production of the classic Mel Brooks comedy horror musical “Young Frankenstein.”

The cast showed perfect comedic timing as they adeptly executed each of the classics one-liners and double entendres that define the devious dialogue and served up the fast and furious slapstick scenes like seasoned theatre pros.

On-stage and backstage, the crew performed their tasks seamlessly, using lights, video and sound to set the mood and expertly designed set pieces that make the audience believe they have been transported to Transylvania.

A special standing ovation goes to the costume crew and makeup design artists who brought the characters to life and even, in the case of the monster, larger than life.

Congratulations to the entire cast and crew on a spectacular production and thank you to our faculty members who dedicated their time, energy and creativity to give our students this incredible experience.
