Northwell Health Partnership

Northwell Health School Mental Health Partnership

The Northwell School Mental Partnership is an initiative between Cohen Children’s Medical Center and Mineola Public Schools. The partnership will help support your school to meet the mental health needs of all students. Our team works closely with the school counselors, psychologists and social workers to help determine the needs of students in the district.

We also provide access to a dedicated Behavioral Health Center (BHC) for students in crisis, in need of an evaluation, immediate treatment or connection to care in the community or at the hospital.

The partnership will provide community and professional education and a close collaborative relationship between clinical and administrative teams of the district and the Northwell Team. Through the year you will be receiving a monthly school mental health community newsletter through the school, this is our way of communicating about our monthly events, workshops and lectures. We will also share additional helpful resources for families.

We are committed to help improve the overall mental health of your school community and are looking forward to working together. We welcome your feedback and suggestions!
