Ms. Iacono started as a counselor at Mineola Middle School in 2019. She received her undergraduate in Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience from Penn State University (We Are!). She then went on to receive a MS.Ed in School Counseling from LIU Post. She likes to read, cook and play soccer!
Ms. Kehoe began working at Mineola Middle School in 2004. Ms. Kehoe received her Bachelor’s Degree from Loyola University in Chicago where she is originally from. She spent a year volunteering with AmeriCorps in New York City and then earned her Master of Science In Education from Hofstra University. Her family keeps her busy and when she gets free time, she loves spending time at the beach and reading.
Ms. Fernandez began working in the Mineola School District in 2018. Ms. Fernandez received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology from Queens College and her Masters of Social Work from Long Island University - Brooklyn Campus. She completed a certificate program in Child and Family Therapy at New York University. She enjoys spending time with her family and reading.
Mrs. Honig began working in the Mineola school district in 2003. She holds a B.S. in Human Development from Binghamton University as well as a M.S. Ed. in School Counseling from Queens College. Mrs. Honig is a busy mother of four who loves to cook, read, and spend time with family and friends.
Dr. Azevedo began working in the Mineola School District in 1999. She worked at Cross Street Elementary School from 1999- Jan. 2006. She has been at Mineola Middle School Since then. Dr. Azevedo received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Masters of Arts, and PhD in Clinical and School Psychology from Hofstra University. She likes to spend time with her family, entertain her friends, read, and travel.
KaylaMarie Bimonte
Ms. Bimonte began working at Mineola High School in May 2020 as a School Counselor Leave Replacement. She officially joined our Guidance Department for the 2021-2022 school year. Before joining our department, Ms. Bimonte was a School Counselor Leave Replacement and Teaching Assistant in the Sewanhaka Central High School District. Ms. Bimonte received her B.A. in Psychology from Queens College and then went on to earn her M.S. Ed. from LIU Post.
Karen McLaughlin
Mrs. McLaughlin has been a School Counselor at Mineola High School since 2004. Previously, she worked as a high school counselor in Bellmore. Mrs. McLaughlin received her Masters' Degree from Hofstra University in Counselor Education and her Bachelors' Degree in Psychology from Long Island University - C.W. Post campus.
Tatianna Ossa
Ms. Ossa joined the Mineola High School Guidance department beginning in the 2022-2023 school year. Before joining our department, Ms. Ossa worked as a school counselor at Ward Melville H.S. Ms. Ossa received her B.A in Psychology from SUNY Old Westbury and her M.S Ed in School Counseling from LIU Post.
Elizabeth Turner
Mrs. Turner has been a school counselor at her alma mater since 2001. Before joining the Guidance Department, Mrs. Turner worked at Hofstra University as a Career Counselor. She received her masters degree in School Counseling from Hofstra University and her bachelor's degree from Fairfield University.
Vanessa Lealand
Ms. Lealand started working as a school psychologist in the Mineola School District in 2004. Ms. Lealand received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Stony Brook University and Masters Degree in School Psychology from Hofstra University. She is also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She enjoys gardening, going to the beach, and car detailing.
Nicole Lebowitz
Ms. Lebowitz started as a school counselor at Mineola High School in 2019. She received her B.A. in Psychology, with a minor in education, from Binghamton University. She then went on to obtain her M.S. Ed. in School Counseling from Queens College. Ms. Lebowitz was a school counselor and teaching assistant in the Valley Stream Central High School District.
Ms. Rosenblatt has been a school social worker in the Mineola School District since 1995. Before joining MHS, she worked as a social worker at Queens Children's Psychiatric Center. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Towson University and her Master's in social work from Adelphi University.
Rebecca Stegner
Mrs. Stegner began working in the Mineola School District in 2020. She received a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Adelphi University and a Master of Social Worker degree from Hunter College-Silberman School of Social Work. Mrs. Stegner is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Certified School Social Worker in New York. In her free time, Mrs. Stegner loves to cook, travel and spend time with family.
