The district is #MineolaProud to congratulate Michael Palumbo and Lilly Schettino on being awarded the Outstanding Physical Education Student of the Year award by the Nassau Zone of the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (NYS AHPERD).

Michael and Lilly were each presented their award at a ceremony at the Inn at New Hyde Park on Dec. 9.

This recognition is awarded annually to two outstanding students in the graduating class who demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, responsible personal and social behavior and outstanding achievements in physical education programs.
