The district was #MineolaProud to celebrate the accomplishments of our exceptional student musicians and athletes with a Parade of Champions on Nov. 22.

The parade was a tribute to the Mustangs Marching Band who brought home their second consecutive New York State Small School Division One Championship trophy and the boys soccer and girls volleyball teams who both recently won the Long Island Class A Championships.

With the homecoming court leading the way on a Mustang float and the marching band performing patriotic melodies, the championship teams waved to onlookers as they marched triumphantly to Mineola Memorial Park where throngs of family and friends were waiting.

The teams gathered in front of the amphitheater for the ceremony where each player was recognized and the teams each received proclamations and a “key to the city” from Mayor Pereira.
