Members of the Mineola HS Wind Ensemble got the opportunity to practice with a member of “The President’s Own” Marine Band, Staff Sergeant Tyler Hsieh.

SSgt Hsieh was at the high school to rehearse with the students prior to performing with them at the “Tribute to our Veterans” concert, Wednesday night at the Adelphi Performing Arts Center.

“The President’s Own” United States Marine Band’s mission is to perform for the President of the United States and the Commandant of the Marine Corps. Founded in 1798 by an Act of Congress, the Marine Band is America’s oldest continuously active professional musical organization.
