7th Grade Philly Field Trip

Students and Staff group photo Philadelphia thumbnail244847

On Monday, April 3rd, 181 seventh grade learners traveled with their teachers to visit the City of Brotherly Love and learn more about our nation's founding.

In Philadelphia, these learners visited the American Revolutionary War Museum where the featured exhibit is the actual tent that George Washington used during the war. From there, we traveled via walking tour around other major historic areas of Philly, in particular visiting Independence Hall. Learners were able to stand in the actual room where the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were debated and adopted. This landmark building is the centerpiece of the United States Government during the colonial era and was in walking distance of the Liberty Bell.

Our tour concluded with a stop Betsy Ross house and a visit to the Bourse Market for some classic Philly Cheesesteaks!
