Both learners have distinguished themselves through exceptional academic achievement, leadership, service and a commitment to making a positive impact in their school and community.
Valedictorian Eliana Lee has excelled both inside and outside the classroom while embracing opportunities for growth and leadership. A National Merit Commended Student and member of the National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and Tri-M Music Honor Society, she serves as president of Mineola High School's HOSA Future Healthcare Professionals chapter, earning top-place finishes at New York State competitions while helping to lead initiatives that promote healthcare education and service.
Eliana is also an accomplished student researcher. Through the science research program, she has conducted and collaborated on projects focused on environmental science, plastic biodegradation and antimicrobial resistance. Her work has been recognized with a first place award at the Kathy Belton Science Fair and the Long Island Science Congress Honors Research Award. In addition, she traveled to South Korea to present scientific research and collaborate with students on an international level, demonstrating a passion for discovery and global learning.
Beyond academics, Eliana has gained valuable healthcare experience as a pharmacy technician and as a volunteer in NYU Langone Hospital's oncology unit, where she supports patients, families and healthcare professionals. Through these experiences, she has further developed her passion for helping others and pursuing a career in medicine.
Following graduation, Eliana plans to continue her studies in preparation for a career as a physician assistant.
Salutatorian Lowry Liu has distinguished himself through academic excellence, leadership and service. A National Merit Commended Student and member of the National Honor Society and Science National Honor Society, he has challenged himself with an extensive program of Advanced Placement and honors coursework while pursuing interests in healthcare and scientific research.

Outside of school, Lowry co-founded Built4Joy, a nonprofit initiative that provides custom-designed LEGO-style bricks to pediatric patients. Under his leadership, the organization has expanded nationally, engaging hundreds of volunteers, establishing university chapters and impacting thousands of children. He has also gained hands-on healthcare experience as both a Northwell Health volunteer and pharmacy technician.
Through the science research program, Lowry has conducted research examining the anti-inflammatory properties of traditional Chinese medicines, reflecting his interest in healthcare and medical innovation. He has presented his research locally and internationally, earning multiple top honors as well as recognition from the Long Island Science Congress.
Following graduation, Lowry plans to pursue a degree in biochemistry before attending medical school and pursuing a career in medical research.
