We are thrilled to announce that Mineola High School has been recognized as a 2025-26 NYSPHSAA School of Excellence by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association. The designation celebrates schools that demonstrate a strong commitment to academic achievement among their student-athletes.

To earn School of Excellence status, at least 75% of a school's varsity athletic teams must qualify as NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete teams during their respective sports seasons. Scholar-Athlete team recognition is awarded to teams that achieve an overall grade point average of 90 or higher, reflecting a dedication to excellence both on the field and in the classroom.

The honor underscores the hard work, discipline and commitment displayed by Mineola's student-athletes throughout the school year. It also reflects the support provided by coaches, teachers, administrators and families who help students balance the demands of academics and athletics while striving to reach their full potential.
