New Look, New Energy: Mustang Brew Cafe Celebrates Grand Rebranding

The Mineola High School community reached a major milestone on May 7, gathering for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony to debut the newly rebranded Mustang Brew Cafe. Held just before the Board of Education meeting, the event celebrated the successful completion of a months-long, student-led initiative to transform the school's central social hub.
The revitalization project was driven by Mineola business students who recognized a chance to refresh the cafe’s atmosphere. Operating as consultants, members of the Women in Leadership program, DECA club and Virtual Enterprise conducted thorough market research to establish the new brand identity. The result is a sleek, modern aesthetic featuring a bold red, white and black color scheme and a new logo, all designed to foster school spirit and a professional environment.
A Hub for the Arts and Innovation
The transformation goes beyond just a fresh coat of paint. The Mustang Brew Cafe has been reimagined as a multi-disciplinary space for student expression. The rollout includes a rotating visual arts exhibit that showcases the diverse talents of Mineola’s student artists in a professional, gallery-style setting. Additionally, plans are already in motion to utilize the cafe as a stage for live student performances, weaving the arts into the fabric of daily school life.
Serving the Community
Located in the Synergy Building, the cafe is open to the public during weekdays and serves as a retreat for juniors and seniors during their free periods. Patrons can enjoy a revamped menu of snacks and coffee, including the new signature "Mustang Wild Cherry Refresher."
This project is a testament to Mineola’s dedication to life-ready pathways. By taking the lead on a project with tangible community impact, students gained invaluable, real-world experience in marketing, business strategy and community engagement.
