Eighth and Ninth Grade Drama Club Bring Themes of Friendship to the Stage in ‘13 Jr.’

The district is #MineolaProud to congratulate the eighth and ninth grade Drama Club from Mineola High School on the flawless production of “13 Jr.,” which brought audiences to their feet for three shows on May 1 and 2.
The coming-of-age musical followed the relatable journey of a student navigating a move to a new town, exploring the universal themes of friendship and the challenges of early adolescence. By exploring the quest for belonging, the cast and crew provided an authentic look at the adolescent experience, while offering audiences a funny, poignant and thoroughly entertaining theater production.
The show highlighted the immense talent of learners, featuring high-energy musical numbers and professional-level choreography. From the vocalists on stage to the technical crew behind the scenes, every student demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication in bringing this complex production to life.
