Mineola High School Seniors Honored with NYS AHPERD Awards

We are #MineolaProud to announce that seniors Julianna Plunkett and Amanda Baker have been named recipients of the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance Outstanding Physical Education Student Awards for the 2025-2026 school year.
This prestigious recognition is awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional physical performance, leadership qualities and a commitment to personal wellness and a healthy lifestyle. Throughout their high school careers, both Julianna and Amanda have distinguished themselves as dedicated leaders and positive role models within the physical education program and the broader school community.
The NYS AHPERD award highlights students who serve as examples of Mineola’s high standards for physical education and character. The district congratulates Julianna and Amanda on this well-deserved honor and commends them for their hard work and dedication to excellence.
