BOE Recognizes Student Achievements and School Board Recognition Week
The Mineola Board of Education celebrated outstanding student accomplishments and recognized School Board Recognition Week during its Oct. 22 meeting.
The evening highlighted the achievements of students across the district. Honorees included a National Merit Scholarship Program Commended Student, the Mineola High School valedictorian and salutatorian and the winners of the Meadow Drive and Hampton Street badge book cover art contests. Students were recognized for their academic excellence, creativity and dedication.
The Board of Education also was recognized as part of School Board Recognition Week. Board members were presented with a certificate of Congressional recognition in appreciation of their commitment and service to the Mineola school community. School Board Recognition Week provides an opportunity to acknowledge the crucial role board members play in supporting students, staff and educational programs throughout the district.
