At the Sept. 24 meeting, the Mineola Board of Education proudly recognized the student council leadership team from Mineola Middle School for their dedication to service, leadership and school involvement.

Student council members play an important role in shaping a positive school community by representing their peers, organizing events and initiatives, and helping to foster school spirit throughout the year. Through their leadership, these students contribute to creating a welcoming and engaging environment for all members of the Mineola Middle School community. The students recognized were Student Council President Judah Magun, Vice President Luca Martyn, Treasurer Sullivan Schwetz, Secretary Eva Blanco and Public Relations Officer Payton Elcock.

During the meeting, Board of Education trustees and district administrators congratulated the student leaders and thanked them for their commitment to serving their school. The recognition highlighted the important role student voice plays in school life and celebrated the students’ willingness to take on leadership responsibilities.

The Mineola School District commends these student council leaders for their service and looks forward to the positive impact they will continue to make throughout the school year.
