The district is #MineolaProud to announce that each of its five schools has been recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for the 2026-2029 program term. The designation applies districtwide to Hampton Street School, Jackson Avenue School, Meadow Drive School, Mineola Middle School and Mineola High School. Schools apply and are selected for this three-year distinction based on their commitment to continuous innovation in education and using Apple products to inspire, imagine and impact teaching and learning.            

"This distinction reflects the dedication of our educators and students who continuously push the boundaries of innovation and learning every day,” said interim superintendent of schools Catherine Fishman. “Earning Apple Distinguished School status across all five of our schools directly aligns with our 'Portrait of a Mustang' vision, fostering critical thinking, creative innovation and a future-focused mindset. By embedding technology intentionally into our classrooms, we ensure every learner is empowered to navigate and lead in an ever-evolving world."
