Mineola High School Marching Band Performs at Long Island Ducks Game

The Mineola High School Marching Band took center stage at the Long Island Ducks game on Friday, September 11, delighting players and fans with a spirited performance that showcased the talent, dedication and pride of Mineola's student musicians.
The 120-member ensemble offered attendees a preview of their 2026 production, titled "Grim." The imaginative show explores the diverse meanings behind a "smile" – from sinister expressions to smiling through adversity and standing tall with confidence. Musically anchored by Charlie Chaplin's timeless classic "Smile," the routine also weaves in selections from Imogen Heap’s "Aha!" and Benjamin Britten’s "Four Sea Interludes."
The performance highlighted the hard work and commitment of the band's student musicians and staff, whose efforts continue to make the program a source of pride throughout the district.
The district congratulates the Marching Band on an outstanding performance and thanks the Long Island Ducks organization for providing this exciting opportunity. We look forward to another successful season filled with school spirit, musical excellence and memorable performances.
