Mineola Welcomes Daniel Gigliobianco as Supervisor of Special Education

Mineola Public Schools is pleased to announce that Daniel Gigliobianco has been appointed as the new Supervisor of Special Education. He succeeds Kate Bulfin Rella, who is leaving the district for a position closer to her home.
The Board of Education officially approved the appointment of Mr. Gigliobianco during the May 19 board meeting.
Mr. Gigliobianco joins Mineola with an extensive background in special education administration. He comes to the district from the Half Hollow Hills School District, where he established a strong reputation for leadership and academic excellence. During his tenure there, he served as the Coordinator of Preschool Special Education and Related Services, as well as Director of High School Special Education.
"We are incredibly fortunate to bring Dan’s diverse expertise and proven track record of leadership to our community," said Interim Superintendent of Schools Catherine Fishman. "His wide-ranging experience, spanning from early childhood through the high school level, will be a tremendous asset to our programs. We look forward to the positive impact his leadership will have on our students and the continued success of our entire school community as he helps us further our commitment to excellence for every learner."
"I am deeply honored to join the Mineola Public Schools family and look forward to building strong, collaborative partnerships with our talented staff and families,” said Mr. Gigliobianco. “I cannot wait to work hand-in-hand with the community to further the district's ongoing commitment to excellence for all students."
Mr. Gigliobianco will officially begin his role effective July 1.
