Mineola High School Learners Earn Honors at DECA State Career Conference

Congratulations to the Mineola High School DECA team who celebrated major achievements at the New York DECA State Career Conference, earning multiple top awards and statewide recognition.
Seniors Nicole Liu and Sebastian Truong captured Top 10 medals in the Financial Services Team Decision Making role‑play event, demonstrating exceptional analytical and collaborative skills in a highly competitive field. Junior Sienna Marcial also earned a Top 10 medal for her impressive performance in the Restaurant and Food Services Management role‑play event.
In addition to the individual honors, the Mineola DECA chapter was named one of the recipients of the Award of Engagement, recognizing its dedication to partnering with New York DECA state officers on educational initiatives and its commitment to chapter involvement statewide.
The conference, which was held from March 4-6 in Rochester, brought together thousands of the state’s top business students for rigorous competitions in Business, Finance, Hospitality and Marketing, as well as presentations of sophisticated international and local business projects. Mineola’s achievements highlight the chapter’s strong leadership, preparation and the outstanding efforts of its student competitors.
