On March 3, The MHS Robotics Team showcased their exceptional skill and innovation at the FIRST Technical Challenge Long Island Regional competition. Crafting a robot capable of mastering various challenges tailored to the annual game, the team's efforts culminated in remarkable success.

Outstanding achievements were celebrated as the Mineola learners clinched the prestigious Innovate Award, a testament to unparalleled ingenuity, creativity and inventiveness in bringing their designs to fruition.

Mineola also secured second place for the coveted Inspire Award, which honors teams that best embody the essence of the FIRST Tech Challenge program. This distinction is awarded to those who share their experiences, passion and expertise with fellow teams, sponsors, the community and judges, truly embracing the spirit of collaboration and growth.

These historic wins mark a significant milestone for MHS, as it's the first time either award has been secured. Undoubtedly, this triumph will have a lasting impact on the robotics club, serving as a testament to their dedication, teamwork and unwavering commitment to excellence.
