The district is #MineolaProud to congratulate our Cybersecurity learners who participated in the National Cyber Foundation’s CyberStart America competition, program that offers scholarships for advanced cybersecurity training.

Of the 21 learners who qualified for the competition, MHS had 4 semifinalists, 9 finalists and 8 scholarship winners!

Winners are recognized as “National Cyber Scholars” and granted access to the SANS Institute Foundations course and GIAC Foundational Cybersecurity Technologies (GFACT) certification valued at $3,400. This course and certification offer the practical skills in computers, technology, and security fundamentals that are needed to kickstart a career in cybersecurity.
