Fundraising/"Individual Account" Policies
At Mineola High School we offer our music students opportunities to participate in numerous time-tested fundraisers that are desirable and timely (i.e. cheesecakes delivered before Thanksgiving) In addition the fundraisers that we choose have excellent profit margins. It is important to us that the funds raised by each student directly benefit the student who worked so hard to sell items. To that end we have what we call “Individual Accounts” or, “IA.” Here is some information on how they work.
Different fundraisers have different “margins.” For example, if a student sells a Marching Band Journal Ad, 70% of that money goes directly into an account for that student. This money can be used for music department activities throughout the students’ time at the high school. Here is the step by step process:
There are some restrictions for use of the IAs:
Each fundraiser has different profit margins, and the details will be made clear when you get an information packet for each specific fundraiser.
