These learners got creative and put their design thinking to work to come up with some pretty amazing products during the “Shark Tank” assignment. We have a pair of 3-D printed glasses, a baseball tracker, edible cutlery, jewelry holders and a tablet holder food tray!

Seventy-one members of the middle school seventh grade band joined the high school Wind Ensemble for a combined rehearsal in the high school auditorium.

After performing a few songs under the direction of Mr. Toomey and Mr. St. John, the middle schoolers visited the band room where they learned about the Wind Ensemble audition process and their opportunities to join the Marching Band.

This unique collaboration will help bridge the gap between middle and high school learners as the seventh graders make plans to continue their musical journey when they transition to the high school next year.

During our Genius Hour time, learners share and collaborate on a project using a topic that interests them. Once complete, they share with their fellow classmates by presenting and reflecting on their process.
