On Sept. 1, Long Island Ducks fans were among the first to get a sneak peak of the new Mineola Marching Band field show "The Jitterbug Cafe" as they performed as part of pre-game festivities at the ballpark in Central Islip.

The competition season begins Sunday, Sept. 17 at Brentwood High School and culminates with the New York State Field Band Conference Championships in Syracuse, NY on Sunday, Oct. 27, where the band is once again hoping to hoist the championship cup.
