Congratulations to Maya Meola and Luke Santaniello on receiving the 2022 Nassau Zone NYS AHPERD Outstanding Physical Education Student of the Year award.

The two award recipients were chosen by the High School Physical Education staff and presented their awards on Monday December 5th at the Crest Hollow Country Club during the New York State Association for Health Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (NYS AHPERD) Nassau Zone annual awards banquet.

Luke and Maya were chosen for the award based on their participation as leaders in our PE Leadership program and for their contributions to the high school community as remarkable student athletes.

As a department, we wish them continued success in their senior year as they both continue to sort through the many options and opportunities that they have created for themselves through their hard work on the fields and in the classroom.
