A Literacy Splash

As part of its literacy component for Operation SPLASH, Meadow Drive School was visited by Prof. Mary Jean McCarthy.  During her visit, she read an Operation SPLASH book to students and they discussed ways to stop polluting and littering, and ways of creating safe harbors. As part of the program, students adopted storm drains to help keep them clean and they will culminate the program by taking a boat trip to experience first-hand the affects of pollution on the harbors.
