Cardboard Construction

As part of the sixth-grade project based learning at Mineola Middle School, students created guitars using old cardboard and other recyclable materials. Under the guidance of art teacher Andrea Antonelli, students built these guitars, or violins, as a fun construction/engineering project that incorporated imaginative play and problem-solving. To bring the artwork to life, students used conductive paint, along with sound clips on their iPad, to actually make the instruments play!
