Students from Meadow Drive and Hampton Street School had artwork chosen for the first Inaugural Art Contest Ceremony at the local McDonald’s restaurant. The contest highlighted the talent of our youngest Mineola students who were judged by the McDonald’s staff for first-, second- and third-place prizes. One artist from each grade was selected by art teacher Jaclyn Manouvrier-Altman. Student-artists representing Meadow Drive School were Deirdre Steiner, Liam Yanes (second-place winner) and Nathan Ren. From Hampton Street School is Victoria Dacosta (first-place winner), Naya Lameirao and Aidan Paul (third-place winner). The artwork is currently on display until the end of the year at the McDonald’s Restaurant at 60 Jericho Turnpike in Mineola.
