Taking the TedEd Stage

Mineola High School junior Jennifer Moglia is one of 13 students in the world, and one of three in the United States, chosen to present a talk during TedEd Weekend which is being held on Feb. 8 in New York City. She was picked based upon her TedEd talk, “How Sports Saved Me.” Through the TedEd Club, Jennifer gave her talk on the sense of community that loving a sport’s team gave her, the bonds it formed and how it helped her cope with anxiety. Her talk was viewed by TED and selected to be highlighted at their Weekend event. Mineola High School Class of 2018 graduate Anthony Pereira was also selected. The talk is expected to be livestreamed through TED’s website.
